IN CLASS ATTENDANCE AND MAKE UP EXAMS

Students are responsible for attending the lessons, participating in all class activities, exams and the other activities that the instructor will choose and doing all the homework  given.  The student who doesn’t attend at least %80 of the course will be unsuccessful and get FZ. In this case the student will lose the chance of taking both the final exam and the make-up exam. Even if a student has a medical report, if s/he is not at school, s/he will be marked absent. To get the final exam the students are responsible for attending the classes and having at least 40 points in total from (midterm, homework, listening exam, presentations, participation, quiz etc.).

For make-up exams, "Bilkent University Health Center Student Health Report Applications" and "Bilkent University Undergraduate and Associate Degree Education and Training Regulations" are taken as basis for the students who cannot attend the midterm and final exam due to illness. (see Health Center Student Health Report Implementation Guidelines, see Bilkent University Undergraduate and Associate Degree Education Regulation).

A student can take a make-up exam when a report given or approved by the Bilkent University Health Center is posted on the internet via its department. A student who cannot certify the medical rapport is not entitled to a make-up exam.

Throughout the duration of a medical report, a student cannot participate in the lessons or take any exams; even if they take any exams or complete other assessment tasks, the grades they have received will be invalid.
